Dear Nicola, Lara and all the staff. Mimosa Retreat is one of the most beautiful and serene places I’ve ever stayed in the world. I love how it is nestled so elegantly into its natural habitat with the rock and wood building materials that make it so warm and inviting. Our accommodations were simple, beautiful and functional with attention to detail. The service was in all ways stellar and so unobtrusive yet everyone was thoughtful and welcoming. The yoga shala was well thought out with views of natural foliage and the sea enhancing the spiritual and meditative parts of yoga. Finally, we couldn’t have had better food which BTY was very healthy. This was one of the best experiences I have had in my life. I hope to visit again. Thank you from my heart.

We recently concluded our “Mindfulness Travels” retreat at Mimosa and could not be more pleased with the experience. The stunningly beautiful setting overlooking the Ionian Sea and surrounding islands. The Balinese architecture, impeccability of the general manager Lara, kindness of Nicola, friendliness and helpfulness of Arnel, and the incredibly flavorful & healthy cuisine all contributed to the happiness of our retreat participants. Everywhere I turned, my eyes were delighted by the intricacies and vibrant touches and my mind was enamoured by the thoughtfulness so abundantly on display. I thought a place like this only existed in dreams. Our needs were attended to by the staff exquisitely with tenderness, professionalism and ease. The true magic of any place exists within the hearts of the people there – which explains why Mimosa is truly a magical place.

The villa itself is such a stunning blend of Balinese architecture and design which creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxation and introspection. The hospitality of the staff is exceptional. They went over and above to ensure every one of our needs was met. Meals were a highlight, with an emphasis on local, organic and seasonal, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

WOW! AMAZING! FABULOUS! We have loved our second visit to Mimosa. Everything is so perfect here – the rooms, the people, the food – just all of it. Mimosa, a place of dreams. Mimosa, where memories are made. Mimosa, where people become friends and magic happens! Love, love, love this place!

This property is truly outstanding!! I travel a lot and have visited many properties around the world. Mimosa is one of a kind. Breathtaking views, very comfortable and clean accommodation, quiet and relaxing, excellent food and most of all… the staff were amazing. Such a wonderful location to host a retreat. Thank you for a magical stay at your beautiful retreat. It was a complete joy to stay there. Of course the setting is stunning, but that’s not all. Everything you see, every corner you turn, every object chosen and placed, complements and enhances the natural beauty.

You all provide a warm and generous welcome, and made us feel relaxed and indulged, in the best possible way.

We three siblings talked as we travelled away about our favourite things at Mimosa. There are so many, it can fill quite a long journey! Impossible to rank, but some are the scents as you walk through the gardens, being in the pool, looking out and down across the bay, the pebble beach in the pool shallows, the bean bags, the outside showers, the views from everywhere, at every time of day.

Travel is always a source of some anxiety for me, with my limited diet. You seeing my parcel through customs and making sure there was always food I could eat made the difference between comfort and hunger. No small matter!

I have now had two attempts at Chef Filippos’ speciality Greek corn porridge. There is definitely some way to go in reaching his consistency, but it’s a lovely reminder of meals around your table.

And I know there are people involved who we didn’t meet behind the scenes who made this booking happen, so my thanks to them too.

A magical 5 days in paradise – Mimosa is enchanting and you’ll feel the love and hard work they have put into this place the moment you set foot there. We will miss our daily practice of pilates in the beautiful shala, delicious meals and beautiful views all around us. I cannot recommend this spot highly enough and I hope to return in the future.

You can feel the thoughtfulness and love that has been put into every aspect of Mimosa. Mimosa has over exceeded all of our expectations and we all had the best time!
Mimosa is simply stunning and the staff are a delight.
Many of my students have learnt lots of new things like drawing for the first time in years, chanting, paddle boarding, yoga & meditation, diving into the pool, treatments, banging bongs, all for the first time!
For some students it was their first time away from home for a while without their families.
Most of the students had never met and everyone made friends.

I enjoyed the most wonderful week-long stay at this beautiful hilltop retreat overlooking Nidri Bay.

From taking a morning dip in the magnificent infinity pool, to strolling the verdant and immaculately well-kept gardens or taking a short trip down into town to the beach, to ending the day with a delicious and sumptuous evening feast at the pool-side dining table, our retreat could not have been better.

The main house as well as the individual villas boasted a wealth of amenities – the air-conditioning was good, the walk-in-wardrobe and dressing room a hidden bonus, with not only a bath and separate shower, but another secluded outdoor shower too! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and the local town offers many activities, plus fabulous bars and restaurants.

Many lifelong happy memories were made here – we would certainly return given the chance, and would highly recommend this retreat venue to others seeking secluded luxury.
